Tracey Sernack-Chee Quee

PhD Candidate, Faculty of Design, Architecture & Building, University of Technology Sydney

I am a doctoral candidate based at the Imagining Fashion Futures Lab in the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building at the University of Technology Sydney. I also teach at the Design Centre Enmore.

My doctoral thesis, titled Claudio Alcorso and Postwar Textile Culture, explores the impact and legacy of Italian-born Claudio Alcorso on Australian design and textile printing from 1945 to 1970.

I have been a fashion and textile designer, design manager, textile practitioner and teacher for the past thirty years, building on significant experience in the fashion design industry in the 1980s and 1990s. My teaching areas include Fashion, Textile, Art and Design History, Design Professional Practice and Design Management.
