Treva B. Lindsey

Professor of Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies, The Ohio State University

I am a professor who specializes in African American history and popular culture. More specifically, I study social movements, hip hop, feminism, and violence. I authored the book Colored No More: Reinventing Black Womanhood in Washington D.C. and have also published over a dozen scholarly articles in leading academic journals. I have also been writing in digital/public outlets for three years. I am regularly contribute at Vox, Al Jazeera, the Grio, Cosmopolitan, Vox, Complex, and Teen Vogue.
