Tsoaledi Thobejane

Associate professor, University of Venda

Prof.Thobejane is presently the Head of Department within the institute for gender and youth studies at the University of Venda.He has written extensively on issues pertaining Gender mainstreaming,Domestic Violence and Education for socio-economic Change. He obtained his Undergraduate diploma in teaching at Mokopane College of Education, and wnet further to study for a diploma in Community Development at Wilgespruit Community Center in Johannesburg (1988).Upon his release after three years of imprisonment under the state of emergency(1984-1987,he went to the United States of America to pursue his Master of Science degree in Development Economics at the Southern New Hampshire State University(1992) and subsequently, a Doctoral degree in International Education at the University of Massachusetts,Amherst ( 1998-2004)
