Uroš Kovač

Uroš Kovač is a doctoral candidate in social anthropology at the University of Amsterdam. A member of the ERC funded project GLOBALSPORT, his research focuses on aspiring soccer players from Cameroon. His research interests include contesting notions of masculinity, religious practices in sports, transnational mobility, and postcolonial Africa.

Uroš Kovač originally worked as a journalist in his native Belgrade, Serbia. His MSc research at the Utrecht University anthropology department was an ethnography of the post-war reconciliation process in Sierra Leone.
