Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, The University of Texas at Austin

Prof. Bahadur is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at UT Austin. His research interests lie in the areas of thermal-energy systems, energy-water nexus and materials. Prof. Bahadur has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and a Postdoc from Harvard University. Additionally, he has 4 years industry R&D experience in GE Global Research and Baker Hughes. Prof. Bahadur has more than 26 journal publications (h-index: 15), 2 patents and 7 pending patent applications. He is the winner of the Society of Petroleum Engineer’s R&D Competition at SPE ATCE 2014, and has received the 2015 SPE Petroleum Engineering Young Faculty Award, and the ACS Doctoral New Investigator award. His research has been featured in ASME’s Mechanical Engineering magazine (Cover image-Mar ‘16) and R&D magazine (‘16).
