Val Edwards-Jones

Val Edwards-Jones is Professor of Medical Microbiology, Head of Research Development, at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Her academic interests include antimicrobial resistance, alternative antimicrobial therapies and MRSA infections. Her research interests also include infectious disease, wound infection, Toxic Shock syndrome and antiseptics.

She is also a Consultant Microbiologist for Embarrassing Bodies on Channel 4.

Prior to joining MMU she worked in the NHS for 19 years.
