My research interests include gender and leadership, women's leadership and the learning of leadership. Taking a critical approach I draw on ideas of gender and power to explore the interrelations between micro level and macro level practices that shape individuals’ practice and learning of leadership. Through conducting empirical research I examine the dynamics of leadership learning in the workplace, to inform leadership and leadership development theory and practice. Current research projects include an ESRC funded seminar series with Durham, Bradford and Northumbria Universities 'Challenging Gendered Media Mis(s)representations of Women Professionals and Leaders.'
