Vassilis K. Fouskas

Professor of International Politics & Economics, University of East London

I work on issues related to globalization/financialization and the Euro-zone crisis in the context of a power-shift to Asia. Area studies expertise include the Balkans, Greek-Turkish relations and the Cyprus issue. I have founded and been editing since 1998 the refereed periodical, Journal of Balkan and Near Eastern Studies (Routledge, six issues a year). Monographs include: The Fall of the US Empire (with Bulent Gokay); Greece, Financialization and the EU (with Constantine Dimoulas); The New American Imperialism (with Bulent Gokay); My work is available in many languages. At UEL I direct STAMP (Centre for the Study of States, Markets & People)
