Professor of Law and Regulation, Australian National University

Veronica L. Taylor is Professor of Law and Regulation in the School of Regulation and Global Governance (RegNet) at the Australian National University (ANU) and previously Dean of the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific at ANU. She co-convenes Australia’s Law and Justice Development Community of Practice. As a practitioner, she has designed and led legal and institutional reform projects in Afghanistan, China, Indonesia, Mongolia, Myanmar (Burma), the Philippines, and Vietnam.

She currently works with the DFAT-funded Knowledge Sector Initiative (KSI) in Indonesia, advising on higher education and research an innovation reform.

Her contribution to the Japan-Australia bilateral relationship include current membership on the boards of the Australia-Japan Foundation, the Foundation for Australia-Japan Studies and the Australia-Japan Business Cooperation Committee.
