William is a lecturer in environmental chemistry at Griffith University on the Gold Coast. He completed his PhD in analytical and environmental chemistry in 2012 and has a particular interest in the current situation of young researchers in Australia.
William's primary research areas include:
Contaminant biogeochemistry in the environment.
Developing new analytical tools for the measurement of toxic chemical contaminants such as arsenic.
Understanding the cycling of important elements in the estuarine and marine environment, such as carbon, sulphur and iron, by utilising innovative passive sampling techniques.
