Professor and Director, Centre for Research into Information, Surveillance and Privacy, University of Stirling

My research interests focus on issues to do with governing in the information age (e-government) and I am a recognised expert on Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) surveillance cameras and Interactive Digital Television (iDTV). I am a member of the Public Sector Management Research Group and a number of academic and professional networks, including the European Group of Public Administration and the International Research Society for Public Management.

I'm interested in the area of contemporary public policy and management, and the policy processes and governance structures associated with governing in the information age. In particular, innovations in processes of governance, public policy and management which are facilitating the adoption and diffusion of new Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in government, democratic relations and the delivery of public services and citizenship.
