Professor of Environmental Science, Emerson College

My research explores the response of ecosystems to environmental change. I analyze lake-sediment cores to study past changes in climate, vegetation, and fire, and I have worked in Alaska, the western US, and New England. I am a Research Associate at the Harvard Forest and an Associate Editor for the journal Quaternary Research.
