Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Michigan State University

Dr. Pokhrel is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Michigan State University. His research focuses on improving the understanding of the changes in water, food, and energy systems in response to the combined effects of human activities and climate change. His work is transdisciplinary and engages diverse stakeholders, and is funded primarily by NSF and NASA. He has published 70+ peer-reviewed papers, including 10+ in Nature and Science journals. He is a recipient of the NSF CAREER Award. He serves as an Associate Editor for Water Resources Research and Journal of Hydrology.
