Dermatology researcher, The University of Queensland

Dr Yousuf Mohammed completed his PhD in pharmaceutics and skin drug delivery in 2013. He is a research leader within one of UQ’s premier research institute, Frazer Institute. He currently leads multiple US FDA funded projects which aim to improve regulatory guidelines for topical and transdermal semisolid products. He has been working within the field of skin delivery, novel technologies and devices, microneedles and nanomaterials and has contributed significantly to the field with over 65 high impact publications, book chapters and over 35 conference presentations.

His work with the U.S FDA, Office of Generic Drugs and Centre for Drug Evaluation and Research started has translated into several product specific guidance documents, which provide the topical generic drug industry a blueprint to manufacturing and getting products ready for approval.
