Puppy dog eyes: a new way to restore vision

The new treatment of inherited blindness in dogs might help restore vision to humans too.

A combined study lead by Michigan State University ophthalmologists has found a dual treatment system works best to reverse vision loss.

The dual system involves both gene therapy as well as dosing with central nervous system boosting protein, which targets light-activated cells.
