Mexican scientists have used maths to reveal just how impressive Ussain Bolt’s world-record dash was.
The calculations show Bolt reached a terminal velocity of 12.2 metres per second.
The majority of Bolt’s energy in the race was used to counter the massive air drag garnered by his 6ft frame.
