Semiconductors can now be printed like ink

American researchers have found a new solvent to safely turn semiconductors, which are materials that conduct their own energy, into an ink-like solution. This finding will allow semiconductors to be applied as a thin film to glass and silicon to effectively print electronics. The substance ‘alkahest’ offers a cheap and scalable option to manufacture electronics.
