Smart fish use tools

The intelligent use of environmental tools has been observed in tusk fish for the first time. Photos show an individual tusk fish using an anvil to crack the shell of a small mollusc, in order to access the meat inside.

The use of tools was long thought to be a uniquely human skill but in recent decades, some primates and birds have also been found to possess the ability.
