New research analysing 26 studies published between 1978 and 2010 indicates that the subconscious mind is far more aware than its conscious equivalent.
Physiological measures of subconscious arousal, for instance, tend to show up before conscious awareness of this feeling.
Researchers estimate that if humans were able to tune into these subtle physiological changes, they might be able to detect these anticipatory changes between two and 10 seconds before the conscious mind currently does.
