Sulphur improves battery capacity

A battery that uses sulphur-coated nanofibers could improve storage capacity.

Sulphur-coated hollow carbon nanofibers and a electrolyte additive improve the cathode – the point at which energy flows out – in rechargeable lithium-ion battiers.

The near-closed structure design prevents polysulfides from significantly leaking into the electrolyte solution, improving battery capacity.
