Superbug spreads across the Middle East

University of Queensland researchers have found a deadly superbug spreading rapidly across the Middle East.

The antibiotic resistant strain, Carbapenem, has increased by 90% in the Middle East over the last two decades.

Antibiotic overuse, poor-hand hygiene practices in hospitals and across the tourism industry has lead to the outbreak.
