Tantrums could signal poor mental health

Researchers have linked temper tantrums in young children to potential burgeoning mental health problems.

Asking about the frequency, quality and severity of many temper tantrum behaviours and anger management skills over the past month, researchers established a continuum of behaviour that could allow them to identify potential problems.

Identifying and treating of emerging mental health issues early is key to preventing young children from developing chronic mental health problems.
