Tax sugary drinks to reduce demand

Taxing sugary drinks could reduce the amount consumed by almost a quarter, according to an America study. Yale University researchers said almost US$79billion could be raised in taxes over five years by increasing the price by 1c, as well as improving the health of those who drink them regularly.
