Teens don’t identify with STD messages

A new study shows that teenagers know how sexually transmitted diseases occur and actively try to reduce their risk, but do so in ineffective ways.

The study is important because it shows a disconnect between adolescents and public health messages.

New tools to help teens think more critically about their choices must be implemented.
