A poll which shows 80% of Tasmanians support euthanasia could be wrong, according to a Queensland University of Technology law expert. Dr Andrew McGee says the study published before a bill to legalise voluntary euthanasia started to go through the Tasmanian parliament confused the public, and has called for a better level of debate on the subject.
