Parents will be able to use a new app to determine the safest route for their children to take to school.
The Walk This Way app, developed by Monash University researchers, uses Google maps to record crossing locations and has recently been trialled across four Victorian primary schools.
Researchers are hoping to encourage more children to walk in order to reduce vehicle congestion around schools and ease safety concerns.
