Therapy model to improve childhood depression and anxiety

Macquarie University researchers have developed a standardised therapy model to treat children with anxiety and depression. With one in ten children and adolescents suffering from an anxiety disorder and depression affecting five to eight per cent of young Australians, the therapist competency model is expected to raise therapy standards and increase childrens’ access to effective psychological treatment.
