The fourth international Using Corpora in Contrastive and Translation Studies conference (UCCTS) will be held at Lancaster University from Thursday 24th July 2014 to Saturday 26th July 2014.

About the conference

UCCTS is a biennial international conference which was launched by Richard Xiao in 2008 to provide an international forum for the exploration of the theoretical and practical issues pertaining to the creation and use of corpora in contrastive and translation studies. The conference is hosted by the UCREL research centre, which brings together the Department of Linguistics and English Language with the School of Computing and Communications at Lancaster.

• 31st October 2013 – abstract submission opens via conference website
• 10th January 2014 – deadline for abstract submission
• 28th February 2014 – notification of the outcome of peer review & early bird registration opens
• 15th April 2014 extended to 20th April – early bird registration closes
• 30th June 2014 – final deadline for registration & final deadline for cancellation with refund of registration fees
• 24th–26th July 2014 – conference days
