Resisting technological change is futile, according to the Minister for Tertiary Education, Chris Evans. So how should Australian universities respond to the technological change of online education?

This was the big question posed to The Conversation panel at yesterday’s symposium on the Future of Higher Education, put together in collaboration with the Office for Learning and Teaching.

The minister, who attended the symposium, said he was looking for answers. As you might expect, we found some, but we found even more questions.

    Good news to you all the way from USA.
    MIT + Harvard + Berkeley and now University of Texas systems ( 220,000 students ) got together and stronger than ever .
    They offer the best online courses in the world , superb.
    They do not charge for the courses but they will charge a small fee for final exams before awarding a certificate . ( May be $ 10 per course )

    UT is willing to award even credits and degrees . They are so new .
    This four some can accomadate 5 million students in the world including Australia.. Don ' t miss them .
    Right now they offer only 8 courses but they will increase the numbers and also they will offer degrees when time is right.
