The tendency of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to wander or “bolt” puts them at risk of trauma, injury or even death, yet information on this critical safety issue is lacking. To better understand this behaviour and advise on potential solutions, the Interactive Autism Network is surveying 36,000 ASD individuals and their families.
