Worms could hold the key to immortality

Some worms display an apparently limitless ability to regenerate aged or damaged tissue.

Unlike human cells which show signs of ageing after dividing and regenerating, a Nottingham University study shows that asexual planarium worms display no apparent signs of ageing in their cells. This characteristic effectually enables immortality.
