A new way to spot skin cancers

A new laser imaging system has been developed by researchers at the University of Queensland to safely view skin structures outside the range of visible light.

The terahertz laser uses an electromagnetic range previously thought impossible to use. And while the project is still a laboratory-based prototype, researchers anticipate that the technology will eventually become commonplace.
