The Short Course in Intellectual Property (IP) Law is presented annually and awards a certificate of attendance from Stellenbosch University.
This certificate programme is accredited by Stellenbosch University’s Division: Short Courses and is presented by the Anton Mostert Chair of IP Law in the Faculty of Law at Stellenbosch University.
The short course (three (3) days) in IP law is aimed at non-IP practitioners, those in business, commerce, engineering, arts or sciences or indeed anyone with an interest in this crucial field of law.
The course is specifically designed to provide students with an introduction to this field of law and its practical application and has no admission or examination requirements.
Presented by leaders in the field of IP law and practice, the course promises to be both stimulating and rewarding while equipping students with a sound understanding of how relevant (and indeed crucial IP is to every endeavour. The course includes specific references to aspects of IP law relating to electronic commerce, communication, digital work, and a number of applied case studies.
