Leadership lessons from the great work-from-home experiment
Professor Tim Bentley will discuss findings from the ECU Centre for Work + Wellbeing on the ‘working from home’ experiences of Australian organisations during and beyond COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
Over the past year organisations and teams have had to re-think the role of the office as a place to meet and collaborate. Professor Bentley will explore how we have changed the way we work and what we do, and the resulting impacts on teamwork and supervision.
COVID-19 restrictions have placed additional demands on workers, including rapid adaptation to remote working within sub-optimal work environments, increased workload, and loss of in-person contact and support.
Professor Bentley will examine the implications for leaders in this rapidly developing scenario and how they can prepare for future crises.
