An aspect of this website that many people may not be aware of is the author dashboard. This dashboard shows academic authors how often their stories are read, as well as listing any republications, recent comments and mentions in social media.
Some authors have contacted us about a drop in traffic attributed to stories on their author dashboards. This is because last week we fixed a bug (introduced in October 2012) which meant in some situations article views could be counted twice.
So if you’re an academic author you might notice a correction in your figures for this period.
