Climate forecast supports need for desalination plants

Water demand and availability will be the most critical sign of future agricultural productivity in Australia.

More Australian states will need to create infrastructure for desalination plants, according to the recent Critical Decade Report from the Climate Commission.

The report predicted decreased water supplies in all Australian states, including a 70% decline in Murray-Darling irrigation.
