Computers help doctor-patient communication

Computers are being used to assess the effectiveness of doctor-patient communication, thanks to new research.

The technology records the communication between a doctor and patient, and presents it in the form of an infographic. The inforgraphic can present rapport building as well as engagement and repetition.

The researchers hope the technology will be used by doctors as a way to assess their own behaviour with patients.
