Different species of bees have different lifestyles

Scientists from the University of Illinois are studying eusociality - a system of collective living where most members of a colony forgo reproduction and devote themselves enhancing group survival.

Eusociality varies among different bee species, with some more actively eusocial than others. Scientists have found that there are genetic underpinnings to the behavioural differences in bees.
