Don’t forget Facebook

Chatty updates on Facebook are easier to remember than carefully-worded sentences.

Researchers from the University of Warwick tested memory for texts from anonymous Facebook updates compared to sentences from books.

The results show we are better at processing information from online posts because of its “mind-ready” or spontaneous format that is closer to natural speech.
