Le Club du CEPII vous convie à une conférence exceptionnelle du Professeur Barry Eichengreen sur le thème : "Trump, trade and the dollar"

Barry Eichengreen is Professor of Economics and Political Science at the University of California-Berkeley and author of numerous books on international economic issues. His work is based, in particular, on his exceptional knowledge of the world economic history of the last 100 years.
Pr. Eichengreen will discuss the consequences for the global economy of the initiatives taken by the Trump administration in the field of international trade (challenging regional or even WTO agreements and forcing bilateral trade negotiations under the threat of very high tariffs or other reprisals). He will also discuss how the United States is using the international role of the dollar to promote its trade objectives or its foreign policy, particularly in the case of the sanctions against Iran, and how Europe or China might respond.

La séance se déroulera en anglais.
