Frequent business travel linked to greater health risks

People who travel extensively for business have poorer health and higher rates of health risk factors including obesity and high blood pressure, according to a Columbia University study. The researchers compared the health risks of employees at different levels of business travel using data from a corporate wellness program covering more than 13,000 employees. Extensive travellers were 260 percent more likely to rate their health as fair to poor, compared with light travellers.
