Genes linked to educational attainment

Genes might play a role - albeit a small one - in educational attainment, a study has found.

A team of researchers from the University of Newcastle were part of an international collaboration which compared a person’s genetic sequence to their educational attainment, such as school years and completion of higher education.

It found a small link between the gene associated with perseverance and completion of education.
