Human cells know when to zip it

We’ve known for a while that human cells “talk” to one another, but new research has found thy know when to shut up, too.

Scientists have discovered a molecular “switch” that changes cells from receiving mode to sending mode, so messages do not cross paths.

The discovery is thought to be helpful in targeting the development of new cancer drugs.
