Hainan University

Hainan University, commonly referred to as Haida, is a comprehensive key university formed by a merger with the former South China University of Tropical Agriculture in August 2007 in Haikou, Hainan province. It is jointly administered by the Ministry of Education and the Hainan Provincial People’s Government. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Double First Class Discipline University, with Double First Class status in certain disciplines. The original Hainan university was established in 1983. It was a key provincial university.
