Only radical change can prevent civil war in a country fractured by the actions of its own government.
Istanbul 29 Mayıs University was founded in 2010 by the Turkish Religious Foundation. It has three faculties that offer undergraduate programs: the Faculty of Arts and Literature, Faculty of International Islamic and Religious Sciences, and the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. There is an Institute of Social Sciences that offers master and Ph.D. programs.
The university also operates the Qur'an Researches Centre (KURAMER), which is unique in Turkey as its objectives are to do academic researches and studies on the Holy Qur’an, exegesis, language, Sirah, history, Hadith, and Islamic Law.
