Royal Liverpool University Hospital

We are one of the busiest university teaching hospital trusts in North West England. We manage three hospitals based on two sites: the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Liverpool University Dental Hospital and Broadgreen Hospital. Our hospitals have often been at the forefront of medical breakthroughs during our long history at the heart of the city. We are currently building a new Royal Liverpool University Hospital next door to the current building. This will provide all en-suite single bedrooms for patients, a much more attractive environment and will be easier to find your way round. We are proud to have been rated as ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission in 2016.

We are the major adult university teaching hospitals for Merseyside and Cheshire; we provide general hospital services to the adult population of Liverpool. We also provide a range of specialist health services, including cancer services for Merseyside, Cheshire and beyond. We are also a centre for clinical research and lead teaching and training in a variety of health professions.
