Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC)

Desde 1960, a Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) vem participando do desenvolvimento econômico, social, político e cultural do Estado e do país. Ao longo desse período, vem trabalhando na preparação de estudantes para se tornarem profissionais altamente qualificados, contribuindo assim para o progresso científico e se estabelecendo como um nicho de excelência, sendo classificada como um dos melhores centros de ensino superior do Brasil.

Hoje, além dos investimentos realizados em novas instalações e no aumento das ofertas de ingresso e da gama de cursos oferecidos no campus de Florianópolis, a UFSC já pode ver os resultados de sua expansão no Estado por meio dos campi de Joinville, Curitibanos e Araranguá, onde o foco é atender às necessidades e demandas locais e regionais.


Since 1960, the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) has been participating in the economic, social, political and cultural development of the State and of the country. Throughout this period it has been working on preparing students to become highly skilled professionals, thus contributing to scientific progress and establishing itself as a niche of excellence, and being ranked as one of the best centers for higher education in Brazil.

Today, besides the investments made on new facilities and on increasing the offers for admission and the range of programs offered at the campus of Florianópolis, UFSC can already see results of its expansion in the state through the campi of Joinville, Curitibanos and Araranguá, where the focus is on meeting the local and regional needs and demands.
