The Victorian Health Promotion Foundation (VicHealth) works in partnership with organisations, communities and individuals to make health a central part of our daily lives. The focus of its work is to promote good health and prevent ill-health. VicHealth has been the state’s peak health promotion organisation since 1987. Last financial year, it funded over 85 research projects into Victorian health issues to build our ever-increasing bank of knowledge. VicHealth also distributed $29 million in grants for 956 major programs and local community projects to promote good health. VicHealth funds a range of successful statewide health promotion and illness prevention programs, including Quit Victoria and SunSmart.
