iPad app to help doctors diagnose

An Apple iPad application has been launched to help doctors choose the best treatment for their patients.

The application, which was developed by the University of Western Australia, will include more than 130 pathways and will cover all the major organ systems and common clinical scenarios.

The tool will help doctors lower the rate of inappropriate or incorrect imaging results, a figure which stands at around one third.
