Names, faces and the dangers of photo tagging

Face-recognition software and social media profiles can be used to identify strangers and get access to their personal information.

A person’s face provides a crucial link between their offline and online identity and when their face is “tagged” online, it becomes possible to link their name and face in situations where anonymity is desired.
